Molière: The Last Laugh imagines the final hours of the great French actor, playwright and troublemaker.
Having collapsed onstage while performing The Imaginary Invalid, Molière retreats to his dressing room and looks back over a life spent making people laugh, upsetting the Church, irritating his critics and discovering that getting the last laugh can come at quite a price.
