The Clown in the Classroom aims to draw on the core principles of the clown and examine how teachers can use these in the classroom with children to enhance the curriculum.

This course will explore the nature of presence, the flop, good will, humour and the accepting of offers. We will look at the clown's ability to work with an audience, to generate something from nothing and to develop and maintain an open and positive attitude.

For teachers working in both Primary and Secondary schools, The Clown in the Classroom will challenge notions of conventional teaching methods and borrow skills and techniques from the world of the theatre to enhance learning, creativity and spontaneity in your classroom.
