Tony Goode has been both a Junior and Secondary school teacher and also a Teacher Educator. Until recently he was Head of Performing Arts teaching on the innovative BA (Hons) Drama course and the MA Theatre & Performance Practice course at Northumbria University. He now divides his time between the Paul A. Kaplan Center for Educational Drama at the City University New York (CUNY), the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) and freelance drama consultancy.

 As an experienced deviser, director and workshop leader he has provided training courses for professionals from police, social work, teaching, youth work and nursing backgrounds. His experience includes regular teaching in Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Taiwan and the USA.

 Tony is co-author (with Jonothan Neelands) of ‘Structuring Drama Work’ (Cambridge University Press, 2000) a practical guide to drama workshop practice and co-author with Jim Clark, Warwick Dobson and Jonothan Neelands of ‘Lessons for the Living: Drama and the Integrated Curriculum’ (Mayfair Cornerstone, 1997).
